RE: Node and Disk Majority quorum configuration
I would expect that in a 3-node cluster with node and disk majority, you effectively have 4 total votes: 3 from the nodes and 1 from the witness disk. If you lose two of your nodes, only 2/4 votes remain, which is not greater than half so the cluster shuts down.A more interesting question is: what happens in a 2 node cluster with node and disk majority if the node that is the owner of the witness disk fails? Fix it stopped WMI on my W7 + SP1
The above text leaves me baffled. But the link below given by JayPowell and oldpro21 opens a page that explains why this error occurs when SP1 is added to W7 or Windows Server 2008 R2. Oracle Date to SQL
I think there are some corrections needed in this article. Oracle DATE datatypes do not map to SQL DATETIME as listed in the table. Additionally, later in the article it mentions converting Oracle Dates into SQL VARCHAR. Oracle DATE fields should be loaded to SQL DATETIME2.

The bcdrefresh policy corrupts pxe boot files
When configured as in the article, I replace my PXE boot image with a fresh copy from my master wim file. If you look in my WDS folder (E:\DFSRoots\eXpress\WDS\Boot\x86\Images), the bcd file and the wim having matching date modified time stamps. PXE booting will then work for a few minutes until that refreshpolicy kicks in and replaces the BCD file with a different one it gets from who knows where. I have since disabled that policy on all my WDS/DFS servers and PXE booting is now consistently

how do you specify a specific key on the commandline to start at?
I have several needs. I need regedit to (in addition to specifying a .reg flie like it d1oes now):- create, update, retrieve, delete values from the commandline - this IS a database. albeit not a very good one.- specify a key to start up at via the commandline. if it doesn't exist, go to My Computer.I am surprised that it doesn't do more for such a critical utility.
