When I tried the powershell script to create the SSIS catalog after a fresh Sql 2012 installation, the powershell script fails on the Catalog.Create() with the message: "Integration Services uses CLR stored procedures. Enable "clr enabled"...
Powershell script does not enable CLR - one has to enable it beforehand

win7 issues
we have server 2012 with several printers, mostly type 4 drivers (lovin' it!). our clients are all windows 7 pro. deploying with gpo (per user) sort of works, but - users must be members of "domain admins" or "administrators" on the domain, otherwise the printer will not appear in the printer list. we have a separate gpo for each printer, using security groups for gpo security filtering. if i add a user to domain admins or administrators, then restart the client, the printers will get deployed.

System Administration and Programming
I would respectfully submit that an effective system administrator would also be an effective and experienced programmer. The prevailing view today that i observe in large organizations, particularly government organizations, is that the ability to write software is somehow becoming a task conducted "at the bottom of the food chain". This is nonsense and is a view held by a lot of managers who somehow think that they can effectively manage an IT organization in support of busines without hard-

Send-MailMessage and RFC 822
Send-MailMessage needs some more parameters. I need -Reply-To, since we use From: to show which server and application or service is emailing us. Having -Return-Path, -Importance and -Sensitivity could help. sp_send_dbmail has most of these.

Why is Database Restore required at the Subscriber End ?
If the Subscription already knows that it has to use the '.bak' file for initializing the Subscription then why restore the Publication Database at the Subscriber End ?In cases when there are CLR Functions integrated with the Subscription Database, the restore process might corrupt those CLR Functions. This might require re-configuring the CLR code.

A bug with -Method type "Head"
Happened to tryout Invoke-RestMethod -Method "Head" -URL xxxxx. The URL is to a public resource about 30GB, ideally Method"Head" should ignore body and just process the header part of response. Such method is useful to detect a resource existence. But unfortunately Invoke-RestMethod failed with System Out Of Memory. And what's more, Invoke-WebRequest suffered same problem, they both have pool support for "Head" method.
