CD or DVD missing (Code 19)
I face with this problem today. It's definitely an ITunes issue messing up the registry, but it was a simple fix. Unistall all apple programs from your PC then Uninstall the CD/DVD drive, The Scan For Hardware Changes and it will reinstall the drive correctly. Thanks for all.

Permissions to the Private Key portion of the Imported Certificate - FIX
If you can't start SQL Server after specifying an SSL Certificate, with this error: " Unable to load user-specified certificate "There is one missing piece of information in this article. When you have the SSL Certificate installed in the store, and it is listing in the Properties of Protocols in the SQL Configuration Manager, you have not finished. The user account that is running the SQL Server windows service need to have read access to the Private Key component of the certificate. Open ports...where?
We're supposed to open port 7000 UDP & TCP, but it doesn't say whether that's on the source server, the destination server, or both. My best guess is the source server, but it would be nice if it actually said so.

Partitioning logic
The way I would understand the LAST_VALUE to work is that we get the last value from each partition (assuming partitioning specified) depending on the order, therefore we should only get one value for each department in example A (as partitioning is by Department). What the results of the example seem to suggest is we're getting the highest value based on department/hire date partitioning, the rate should only be deciding what determines last_value and should not be part of the partitioningWhat

Integration service node
You cannot see the integration services node because by default it is visible only to the administrator. You can open sql server management studio by using run as administrator option. To access this feature you need explicit privileges on it.

How to apply the change
The phrase "Log out and then log back in for this change to take effect." should be read as "Restart SQL Server".

The description is quite clear
I'm not sure why you're confused, the description of the argument explicitly states:"If start is less than 1, the returned expression will begin at the first character that is specified in expression."The first character is at position 1, but you can put can put anything in the parameter - not just 0, you can have -1000 if you wish. The only thing that matters is the start + length sum (also mentioned in the description). For example SUBSTRING('Example', -100, 108) will return the same as SUBSTR

Dubious "memory for the table" description
>For each hash index in the table, each row has an 8-byte address pointer to the next row in the index.>Since there are 4 indexes, each row will allocate 32 bytes for index pointers (an 8 byte pointer for each index).Could someone check this, I think it is either very misleading or entirely garbled, it sounds like you are adding bytes to the table rows and I am willing to bet that's not how it works. Thanks.
