Let me also chime in and say the removal of this feature from the current version of RDC for mac is a big time waster for me. Don't mess with my motor memory!Parallels does this nicely, leaving only RDC as the odd man out on my Mac.Please restore this feature soon!

Hardware Requirements
We have lots of SQL servers, but the SQL programmers all launch SSMS from the same server. We recently upgraded to SSMS 2014 from 2008R2 and I don't believe the Sysadmins gave us any additional hardware to work with. I am trying to do the research to find out the difference in the hardware requirements between the two, but you don't seem to publish that anywhere. I can only find the requirements for the server and that varies depending on the size of the DB. But the databases don't live on the s

1) fsutil command for turning off short file names on a volume: fsutil 8dot3name set <volume> 1-- Reference: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff621566.aspx2) Isn't RAID 5 without striping RAID 3? Then "RAID 5 + stripping" (and I think "stripping" should be "striping") should be just "RAID 5"?Thanks!-Ray

it doesn't make sense for the example here
in the example here it says, 'Database A is being mirrored in high-safety mode with automatic failover', which means any transaction committed in this database is committed in the mirrored database as well, since the transaction inserts one row in database A and one row in database B, as long as the row is inserted in database B and is committed, the other row must be inserted in database A, otherwise it won't be called a transaction at all, and high-safefy mode guarantees that the row is insert

Data and log files are initialized ?
Data and log files are initialized to overwrite any existing data left on the disk from previously deleted file, The article says the Log files are also uses this feature, but as per SQL Server Premier Field Engineering blog http://blogs.msdn.com/b/sql_pfe_blog/archive/2009/12/23/how-and-why-to-enable-instant-file-initialization.aspx it mentions that this feature doesnt work for Log files. Could you check and correct it.
