@timeout additional parameter, 2005 SP4/2008 SP2 and later (earlier with certain CUs)

Per KB968834 (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/968834), a new parameter to msdb.dbo.sysmail_update_account_sp, @timeout, matching a new timeout column in the sysmail_server table, was added to certain updates to SQL2005 and SQL2008.From the KB: "After you apply this cumulative update package, a column is added to the sysmail_server table to track the time-out value in seconds.
