Hi,you wrote that "good candidates for de-duplication" would be "SQL Server and Exchange Server backup volumes".This is only true if you store multiple backups of the same or similiar database on the same volume. Otherwise, a single full backup file of a database is not much de-duplicable. So you need to differentiate much more on the useage scenario for considering it a "good" or a "bad" candidate for de-duplication.RegardsFranz
