Minimal logging for INSERT..SELECT does not work if the target table has an identity column

I have seen that despite satisfying all other pre-requisites mentioned in the section - Best Practices for Bulk Loading Data , minimal logging was not achieved if there was an identity column on the target table. Running on SQL Server 2008.
