The use of ".local" for an internal domain name is no longer best practise and will cause you problems when trying to set up Exchange in your network. The Internet Standards stipulate that CAs cannot issue SSL Certificates with Primary Name or Subject Alternative Names (SANs) with the ".local" suffix after 1 November 2015. As Exchange requires it's intranet domain names to have SSL also, you are going to fail to obtain a ".local" certificate after this date.As this is a document provided by Mic
