The Windows PowerShell scripts in this page are correct when run on a Windows Server 2012 computer, though you make excellent points. Although the cmdlet is named Install-WindowsFeature, it does include an alias to Add-WindowsFeature, so you can use whichever name you prefer (there are a lot of Add- cmdlets, so it might be easier for many users to think of it using this name).
