Hi, BitLocker Community Users.I have gone through exactly the same problems as all of you. Losing keys is a problem; disconnecting is another major problem. Losses and accidents are sometimes unavoidable so Microsoft should allow for such inevitabilities. Nevertheless, the only guidance I can offer is that I just reformatted the BitLocker encrypted disk on an authorized laptop.
