Making a direct copy of the replicated virtual harddisk as a form of backup is not supported, as the replication process could modify it at any time during the copy. To deal with this I've made a powershell script that suspends the replication, copies the virtual harddisk (adding date/time to the name, so that several copies can be made) and then resumes the replication once the copy is done...The script can be found at the below link, feedback welcome...http://www.servercare.nl/Lists/Posts/Post
